David Hernandez Deniz began his musical studies at the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra Academy under the tutorship of Andrzej Gliszewski, moving later to The Netherlands to pursuit further musical studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory, studying under the teaching of Peter Prommel, Victor Oskam, Jan Pustjens, Nick Woud, Marinus Komst, Gustavo Gimeno and Lorenzo Ferrandiz.

Later, David obtained a Master’s Degree under the guidance of Paul Jussen, Vincent Cox and Johan Faber at the Utrecht Conservatory and the Amsterdam Conservatory, where he followed chamber music lessons and the Contemporary Music Through Non Western Techniques Course with Jos Zwanenburg and Rafael Reina. Among others, David had masterclasses with Juanjo Guillem, Raúl Benavent, Rainer Seegers, Graham Jones, Herman Rieken, Momoko Kamiya, Frédéric Macarez, Nancy Zeltsman, Pius Cheung y Rumi Ogawa, Igor Roma y Marieke Schneemann.

David Hernandez has also performed with the Young Orchestra of The Netherlands (NJO), International Ensemble Modern Academy, Rotterdams Kamerorkest, Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica de Las Palmas, and under the batons of Franck Ollu, Thierry Fischer, Lucas Vis, Reinbert de Leeuw, Otto Tausk, Adrian Leaper, Alejandro Posada and Michal Nesterowicz among others. In the chamber music field he has performed with artists such as Reinbert de Leeuw, Transcenturia Ensemble and Hesperides XXI.
